imperfection

imperfection is a kind of perfection.
at least after that incident, it made me realised that.

i dropped my phone a couple of days ago.
(oki not emotional enough)

I DROPPED MY PHONE A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO!!@~@

if you don't know me by now, just some facts:
1) my phone, though its two years old, it looks like i just took it out of the box about 10 days ago
2) when my screen protector came out, i painstakingly scotchtape it down again and again to perserve the screen-scratch free. (till about 3 months later i finally gave up)
3) i will give my phone a good cleaning every 3 weeks, just to peserve its cleanliness and image

dropping my phone is like a taboo.

the instant it touched the hard concrete ground of the bus stop, my heart stopped. i wished that i had the power to turn back time, just about 5 seconds before i take my phone out of my pocket. 5 second will do.

the consequence? a chiped at the right side of the screen. i mean

A CHIP at the right side of the screen!!!!

but its imperfection makes it perfect, cause now its truly mine phone, with a mark.

haha

curtain call

the lights dim.

the curtain closes.

the claps come in.

its done, fnished, over.

there wasn't a chance to linger on stage, to breathe in the last second. the final moment where the characters shouted : oh shut up and kiss her already

i didn't even get the chance to watch the actual play cause i was hiding behind the curtains backstage, praying that everything will go on smoothly. overall, it was fine. (except for the mic problem)

lines were jumbled, sections were moved. but on the whole. smooth

what going on in my head right now? 'i like that. run it.'
the line keeps replaying and replaying like a broken taperecorder

i'm quite happy with the results though.
although we didn't get best play, but aqil, our leading man won best actor.

the first class won best play, which was quite obvious that they would be the winner. i mean, great acting.
benedict was wearing a dress. haha he looks beautiful :P

the second class play in on a genre that i adore- mystery.
its called murder in the green room.

our play is called, bobby brain.
rep, amygdala and cort are three parts of bobby's brain that comes into conflict when deciding on whether to woo the female species or not. haha the approaches are different, which injects humour into the play. but i have to admit, some jokes are pretty difficult to comprehend. whatever the case, i think we pulled it off!

the teacher's play was more abstract, about a wall that was there, or wasn't there.
the smart play of using local terms in the cript drew many laughters from the crowd. haha it was a great finish overall, though many left before the przie presentation, which was a pity, and a little disrespectful in my case.

anyways, that's about all that happened today. its just dramatically over.

that's it, drama fest is over.

the curtain closes.

contest blues

urgh. wonder why teenage magazine doesn't allow us to enter contest via sms.
wouldn't it be easier?? rather than taking the pains to switch on the modem, the com, enter its URl click on the word 'win' then find out :
you  have to be an online member before you can enter the contest.
what in the world???
painstakingly, i entered my email, name, given name etc etc. then clicked submit, in the hope that i'll suddenly receive a verification email. to my horror and dismay: the nickname i gave have been taken up already.
so i had to retry, not once, not twice, but thrice!! thrice!!!! before i can move on the the next page. it was quite a process... but it all came to a naught.
nope, i did not receive any verification email.
neither did i get a revelation from teenage when i added it into my safe-sender list.
nope, zit, naught, zero, nothing

in conclusion: wouldn't it be easier to just enter the contest via an sms? a few finger workout on the keypad should do the trick. i just don't know why go through all the trouble just to enter into 4 contest. >.<

The journey begins...

After sleeping for 12 hours, i feel much better. My throat still aches, my body, hot. but still, i feel like screaming:

ORIENTATION 2010 WAS A SUCCESS!!! WOOTS!!

it all started on wednesday night, 3/2/10. council dance pratice session, mr leow's dry run. which was really running around on dry ground, to the destination in which your AI states. tiring, but refreshing i suppose. i vistied the artic that night, scrunched up into a ball, there i was sleeping on the stage beside lee hui and analise. then morning arrived. oki that's ironic, i slept in the morning, and woke up still in the morning.

preparation. not the mention that awful stomachache. but all was peaceful when analise, andrew and me trooped down to the car porch to welcome the new j1s. haha, it was quite fun and hilarious as more and more ogls came and joined in. yao tian was like scaring all the j1s that came in. it was a pity he wasn't utilised during night games. haha. we tried all sorts of greetings--thanks to wei cheng. we went from japanese to thai to who-knows what. then we wanted something 'refreshing'. we lined up in a row. when the campers walked past, we started with 'good morning' followed by 'good afternoon' then 'good night' wahaha... it was really cute!! oki, greetings done. it was morning assembly then rush to prepare games 1. games 1 was quite successful as it brought the campers up to a high!!!! haha then it was preparation for games 2. by the end of round 2 of games 1, my throat was hoarse, my voice sounded weird.

under the scorching sun, we prepared for games 2. haha finally got water!!!!!!!!!!the campers' mood was a bit down, maybe they were too tired. or it was because of the weather. but our games attche tried their very best. great job!!!^^ it ended early because of lightning risk, so we did cheers instead, which was a relief and at the same time, a breather. haha.after which, it was setting up of night games. kk and me were allocated the dance room to decorate. which was quite an oki job haha. quite fun. thanks to the seniors  who helped, and kept stuffing bananas into our mouths. then we rushed to class 303 and 304 to help with the station: flashlight over and out. haha tying raffia string to overturned chairs and tables. my maze was uber high level, so proud of myself. haha during the tying, me and kk kept talking about random stuff to entertain the other two attaches, joon how and dennis. haha. then we went to the hall to listen to pei qin and asief's story on the mystery of stairway 66. randy and alan has gone missing!!!! then we watched a scary video. naturally, my head went down and i stopper my ears with my fingers. haha i seriously hate horror. anyways, was helping out with the station 'secret pal' not pau ah, then was called halfway to set up telematch. woohoo!!! really need to thank sherman for all his guidance and kenneth for talking to me during the string tying session of telematch set up , and of course pitsoon, who planned and oversee everything, haha not to mentioned francis haha so funny. it was quite fun setting up telematch. though we worked from 8 to about 12, but it was fruitful nevertheless. Sherman said it was his first time that a telematch set up took such a sort period of time. yay!!!
the mr leow shooed us to go and sleep.

day 2!!! ah!!!! telematch.. had to become games emcee suddenly, cause we worked on a round one do next round break system. but of course, i chose to stay for both rounds, after all, its my  game, job and duty. haha i'll do well in the police force man!!! oki, game emceeing wasn't very good, cause it was my first time. but nevertheless, i tried. the campers loooovvvvvvved the last segment where there was water and soap!! haha so fun!!! oki, overall, its was oki. then it was finale. mr leow gave all attaches a prep talk. though we are tired, though we feel tired, but we cannot show that we are tired.  finale was oki, sorry to let you down fitri!!!!! the campers enjoyed themselves, and it rained. haha showers of blessings i guess??? ^^ well, the finale only lasted about 45 mins before the lightning alert came. we did cheers again. but it was uber fun!!! haha then we gave them family time.games did our own mini debrief. it was quite emotional, but we all pulled through for the two days!!!! great job gamers!! veron and me rushed to talk the maths quiz. me in soaked clothes and a spoilt sandal haha but quite thrilling!!!! then i went to look for a place to shower, which was quite impossible cause the toliets were choked with campers. ended up queuing outside the hall toilet and rushing the people who were inside to hurry up.

the highlight of day 2: JJ NIGHT!!!! WOO!!! love it, all the dances and of course, our council dance!!! have lots of fun!!! thanks* zai wei for dancing with me the fast songs. haha sort of abandoned him during chori chori to dance on stage. thanks* yoong zhen for dancing with me during the slow dance.had fun when he was twirling me around. haha so funny. the emo songs were all so nice. i crieed thrice duing jj night. one cause of kk!!! stupid guy, leaving us to go to poly. will miss him dearly. second was when we went on stage, seeing the hard work and effort that each and everyone of us put in, i was really touched. mr leow hugged everyone of us!!! the last time was hugging hui yi!! awwww.. love everyone of you!!!!!

then we had debrief and clearing up. haha i was tasked to do most of the sweeping cause i had the uber bug mop with me. grrr chong cher ask me to clear rubbish!!!! what rubbish!! haha but still cleared it in the end. haha hmm.. after that, we bathed and slept in the garbage room.(just a room covered with garbage bag).

day 3: emo day+ area clearing. haha!!!! cried again.... when mr leow was telling us about his own personal story. haha am quite an emotional person aren't i? haha anyways, after the j1s were released, we continued to clear up. then we trooped down--us a sea of bright red 29 council tee to je's astons for lunch+ dinner. haha it was nice!!!!! then headed home.shagged!!!

well... it was a great experience overall. still a bit tired. but have to study already. haha so yeah!!! it will be a memory that is hard to forrget. i want to soak up every moment of it. every moment.

thank God sooooo much for this experience. i'll really treasure it!!
