When you thought the day after the last day of your final finals will start off cheerily; with the sunlight bathing your sweet sleeping face and the chirping of birds will wake you up and welcome you to the new day after your slumber.
But life is always unpredictable. Instead of my Sleeping beauty cum Cinderella cum Snow White rendition of waking up, I awoke to the sound of rain. Doesn't sound too bad right? Rain. Makes you want to snuggle even further down your warm blankets, curled up and pur yourself to sleep. That is if you remember to close the windows.
Oh boy, torrents of rain hit on open windows hard. By the time I manage to yank myself out of the magnetic pull of my bed, my ledge was already half wet, not to mention the floor and cupboards beneath the window and the purple curtains that helpfully soaked up the rainwater on the grills.
it was only 7.15 am. what a way to start the first day of freedom. with manual labor.
Come to think of it, after an entire 45 minutes of mopping, cleaning and wiping that involved 3 rags, a bag of tissue, a bucket and a mop, my grills actually sparkle now. (giving myself a pat on the back)
Crawling back to bed after washing and drying the mop. I forgot to switch off the kitchen light... and realised it till I woke up 3 hours later. less of a zombie but more of a snappy old lady. (come one try mopping the floor the minute you get out of bed!)
hmm... does this foreshadow the type of 'freedom' I will get after my finals?
after doing some mental calculations, I realised that I have not really rested properly since last year. By rest I mean sitting down and stoning into thin air or having a day without programs just... stoning into thin air.
well. spent the morning settling some FYP stuff before I can actually get to work on those dramas that I have been storing up for.
With all that said and done... when apprehension is certainly has always been my word-of-the-day since the start of university. I hope everything goes well. Christmas is coming and it is the season to be jolly :)
Oh btw, caught Penguins of Madagascar last night to celebrate. Hence if you haven't please do. Even if you are sad about something that 1.5 hours will surely be full of laughter and fun.... and incredulous logic but who cares!!! penguins are simply adorable. I promise you.
Take care my readers.. whoever you are. God bless and happy holidays :)
=do something right=
