Promos are finally over!!! happy happy. haha it ended with chemistry paper yesterday.
took a solo trip down memory lane--to the place where i frequented alone.. orchard road.. specifically, kinokuniya bookstore. but before that, i found out that i was actually very Singaporean. why do i say that? just coming out of the mrt at orcahrd station, feeling the rush of the Singaporean crowd. i happen to walk beside a Eurasian guy, who seemed lost. Overwhelmed i guess, by the crowd. haha. but being a TYPICAL Singaporean, i was went (in my mind of course) if the crowd wasn't this big, there must be something wrong about orchard. i displayed my Signaporean skills right in front of his eyes- cutting the queue. its quite simple actually, i call the technique "follow the crowd'. you just have to blend in, keep your eye on a targetted figure, move swiftly behind him them ta-da, before you know it, you'll be on the escalator.
walking down the stairs, into ngee ann city, gave me the feeling that i was back home. its so different from secondary school, where i'll party with my friends once the examinations were over. but now, they live so far away, my other friends have their other friends to go out with. and me, i'm left alone (boulavard of broken dreams play at the background) but hey, being the ever optimistic clarissa, haha i went out on my own!!!
kino is my all-time favourite bookstore, i can get lost in there for hours, but please!! they really should not have removed the chairs from behind the shelves-- i had to sit at the kiddies section to read my books!!! but i bought what i wanted^^ thanks* dad, i sort of snagged your money. haha. took the ride home from dad.
btw, i borrowed one book titled "do you come here often" . i thought the title was quite interesting and it is by one of my favourite authors ( actually not really favourite cause i on;y own one of her books)-alexandra potter. i love the way she uses three worded phrases to emphasis something. here are some snippets:
~Watching, Waiting, Hoping
~ Totally, Utterly, Completely
And this phrase can totally match my mood when i need to rise up early in the morning:
IN a distant, disconnected place, her(that's Grace the protagonist) brain was trying to tell her to get up, get ready, and go to work(it'll be go to school for me) , but her body wasn't responding. Her limbs seemed to have been paralyzed overnight(that was what i told my friends the other day). Even her eyelids were refusing to open. She was just lying there. Thinking nothing. Doing nothing. Just breathing in. And breathing out. Slowly, dreamily, blissfully.
oki, maybe it wasn't just a phase. but a few sentences, but so what?? that's the sentences adapted from the start of chapter 1. can't you relate to it? i can!! don't you love it? i do!! its so witty, yet realistic, even though the entire story is not really realistc. but hey, at least the description is nice ^^
i cannot wait to finish the book, its beena long time since i picked up a book to read(times and gp content pack do not count). well, that's about all.
but i'm kind of still in paranomia land, thinking about the horrid results that i'll receive from promos. its like what my uncle says" waiting for the verdict" sigh.. i guess the wait will be excruciating, but i hope that i can promote with 3H2 passes!!! praise the LORD!!! all the best.
GOD BLESS!!
=do something right=
