yesterday was the friday that didn't feel like a friday.

was suppose to go to the bank with my mum today, and then to jp for some retail therapy.. but in the end plans were changed as i woke up too late >.< due to the late night i spent.. watching cruel temptation. woah. scheming ladies, devious plots, back-up plan in case the other back-up plan failed, as well as men being treated as object of revenge. well that pretty much sums up the drama.. of the drama. haha but its not bad. there's a little humour in all the plots for revenge and the leads are pretty good-looking :)
manage to do some maths today. which was good. it was supposed to be completed yesterday haha but i was caught up watching mtv awards in the morning before catching the bus down to study with zw. was quite oki. completed 1 chap of chem mcq and did maths vectors revision. so yeah. haha :)
anyways, the mid-autumn festival is coming.. or it has already arrived so i'm here to share with you the mooncakes that i just had approximately an hour ago:

it looks like some half-eated ba zhang haha so sorry :x anyways, the caramel was oki. just that its salty. which according to the brochre, its supposed to be. but the mix flavours were not appetising to my taste buds. yeah.

Mini snow-skin w Dark Chocolate Crunchy Pearls
it has a minty and refreshing zesty taste to it which was good. the dark chocolate pearls were a new addition so i found it quite interesting. just that the more you eat it, the more choked up you'll get. so half a slice would be the best serving for this piece. the skin is a nice shade of green which gives it a plus point :)

i simply adore the skin!! it has great taste with a nice tangy feel two thumbs up. the truffle was lacking though. i can taste a little of the rich champagne, however, the mix with white chocolate was kind of a plunge as the taste of wine and chocolate was not a good choice. it became too sweet. just the champagne taste itself would be the tick. it could be that i'm a little bias as i'm a fan of white chocolate :P haha but nevertheless, the skin itself would be a huge hit, even without the truffle, in my opinion :) in addition, the white chocolate is sugar free which is the healthier choice so it could be forgivable :D yeah. haha
i'm a foodie and food taster. haha :P had half of all the mooncakes. luckily my mum boiled barley water. if not it eould have been too heaty for me. i've no intenttion of falling sick two days before school reopens.
the funny thing about mooncakes are that other than the different flavours that are coming up as the years go by. the fusion between oriental flairs and European flavours, the packaging also come into play right now. people not only buy mooncakes to share with their families, but also as gifts, especially for buiness associates and partners. thus the packagaing for mooncakes are also really important. i saw on the news, they pack mooncakes into trays with a shelf-like design. thus they can be re-used. its been quite popular with OLs (office ladies) haha well.. i just go for the taste. simple durain mooncakes will do!! haha :)
