Mysteries

Life has been good so far. As long as i have a good book to read :D
Contrast to the action-packed movies filled with gun chases and fit pumping actions, i still prefer old mystery where evidence speaks a thousand words.
A splash of mud on the cuff of a man's pants could tell where he has been, what he has been up to.
Where teeth marks on a charred glove shows disclose the inability of a man whose's master hand has be incapacitated.
The sudden meekness of a young lady betrays a plan being formed in her mind.

No CSI. No technology involved. No nothing.

Just the pure use of deductive skills. maybe that is why i am so drawn to Sherlock or Agatha Christie's Mysteries. So marvelously written with the right amount of pull and push to let the reader think they have the answer, that all mysteries are a cliche before finally at the end of the chapter, drops the bomb and the twist. 'Woah' the only words that came out of my mouth after 3-4 hours of reading. Haha. simply incredible :)
The recent show (i think 2008?) , the modern remake of Agatha's AND THEN THERE WERE NONE--Harper's Island. It is quite a good adaptation i must say, however gruesome the deaths were and at the end the murderer's motive was kind of.. far-fetched but plausible if you stretch your imaginations a little bit. haha. but and then there were none is really a new concept for me :) i still remember that a shiver went down my spine after i finished the book. You should pick it up sometime :) it is a good read. i still i remember i saw this guy reading the sherlock memoirs...at the mrt platform..a pity though he was a stranger, i really am attracted to guys who read and have the same taste in books as me. hmmm if we are meant to meet, then we will :)
=do something right=
