Funny how we're done with 3 days of the March holidays already and I haven't really done anything productive at all. Not that I mind. I mean it is supposed to be a holiday. But I guess I would still like to read up on some stuff, answer some emails and make some of my time worthwhile.
The end of term 1 makes the end of the 10 weeks I've been a full-fledged with the newest intake of sec 1. It also marks the first 10 weeks of leading a cell. Also completing one quarter of LCG which I committed to every week (miss 1 due to the dreaded flu and fever). It has been interesting. Overwhelming on different ends and exhausting in the beginning. But I'm starting to get used to it.
I also need to press the play button on my wedding prep. I've hit the pause button for the past few weeks so there has been other more pressing things to handle. In addition, T has been away and is still away on reservist now. Lol. But I'm used to our business.
Last LCG we touched on the last habit of the humble past. Which is the habit of assignment. I really identify with the chapter due to my influences from the secular world. For one, I love to experience new things and I'm opened to trying different jobs to gain different experiences:) I also liked how the chapter broke down calling and assignments. It makes it easier to understand. Then Nic had to come and overthrow the entire thing. I also agree with what he shared as well. It helps in the spiritual sense that it doesn't matter what you do, but who you do it for. Of course I didn't go and scrutinise the word and disagree with the use of 'intersection'. My mind just basically skimmed over the word without giving much thought. As it does for most non-fiction books. That's why fiction mystery books interest me more than any non-fiction book. But well, it turned out to be quite an important word and something that the discussion kind of hinged on.
To cut the long story short, my take is that the chapter, if read at a secular level would be passable, but when the spiritual element is added to it. It's probably start showing loopholes and then you realise that it's probably the best example of telling you that the chapter is not exactly needed as long as you know who called you for what you're doing and you're doing it for Him - who is God Almighty.
But I don't deny that this chapter was something I enjoyed reading the most and I shall not debate its redundancy here anymore.
Okay. Going to end off and head to bed soon. Still praying for the gift exchange thingy. Currently clueless on what to get. I wanted to ask God for the name of the person I should get the gift for and what to get. But realised I could be shooting myself in the foot. Asking God for the item might be easier Haha. We will see how it goes!
= do something right =
