Last Thursday, we were talking about building the habit of faith. We came across point of expecting God to show up and YE shared about how something needs to be bad so that when God shows up, He will get you through it (disclaim: might not be the question exactly, but the essence is there). I kind of identify with it. I feel that its through the trials that I'll rely on God more, yet I don't like trials. Its more pressure, more uncomfortable feelings, anxiousness, stress etc. Its funny how the 'solution' from Ps Nic is actually simple - which is to change your perception. Find one thing that you can thank God for everyday. Be glad that you have trials, cause that I where you know you are close to God and the devil is trying to do something to destroy the relationship. I guess, it is often the simplest thing that we forget to do. I'll start thanking God for at least one thing each day, and also try to go through the challenges of each day more positively cause I know God is with me.
Friday was quite an eventful day. I got to speak to a parent and also prayed for her. It was really heart wrenching to see her cry and what I received from the meeting is spousal support it very important. I cannot disclose much cause its confidential, but communication is extremely important in a relationship. There are some things in life where all you can do it really just sit there and allow the person to unload, while you silently pray for help from the Holy Spirit. Though my main clients are students, sometimes, parents would also need help too.
= do something right =
