Korea 64

Day 64

Another normal day just that i was really tired during immuno but i had to pry my eyes open and look attentive. lol Stayed up late last night just to complete the summary for chap 9, not that i read the entire chap from the book, but i read all the short chapter summaries at least to get the idea kekex :)

after that went to run some errands for about an hour before heading to the cafeteria for lunch :) kimchi soup and ramen with rice . it was all right. nothing fantastic or spectacular kekex, but oh boy was it cheap, as usual :) 2,500 won only can!!.

Going to try and send Lin. It would be the first time i am sending something back to Singapore from overseas haha how cool is that? i only sent stuff to Kathy mei in the States before but from Singapore. haha going to do it tmr! hopefully the counter staff is nice enough to teach me how to fill in the form as everything is in Korean. EMS let's go!

Finally managed to gym today :) happy girl, even though i think i put on weight ... yes i think i did even after vomiting so much when i was sick haha, but i soon gained it back after i think 2 days? but its good to sweat it out in the gym! :D

Korean lesson was fun today as Maureen brought her shiny new GO STOP cards to ask 김선생님 how to play them. its called 화투 in Korean. Yeah its the one you see in Korean dramas where the 아저씨s and 아줌마s will sit one the ground with a leg up and throw these small red cards onto the floor haha. yeah, we learnt how to play the simple form of the game. Actually its the same as the more complex version just that the counting of the points and money would be different and GO STOP have simple combinations to remember. Something like Big 2 converted into Mahjong but flat card tiles. The cool thing about the cards are that there are 48 of them, 4 for each month. Yeah!! the cards go according to the months :D
김선생님 also did some 'fortune-telling' with the cards haha and apparently we are suppose to get money this month i think :) so it was cool to lean about Korean culture. I asked her about the old man in the underground subway who uses cardboard to fence himself up (that's his stall btw) and create the ambience for fortune telling haha. She said that usually people would give their birthday date and the time that they were born to this fortune-telling man and he would look though this thick book and read out your fortune according to the various dates and time. She also explained that the book is based on statistical data and the information calculated many decades ago and it was accumulated, but she vehemently replied when i asked that most of the time, it was not accurate. haha she is so cute!!. the exact words were 'usually according to the date, usually the person born will be like that. USUALLY.' haha so many unusual cases in the world don't you think ;)

tmr it will be another long day. long cause after school we will be catching Iron Man 3 in 4D. how awesome is that!! we already booked the tickets!! whee~ cannot wait. the 1st official 4D movie!!! haha Shrek 4D at universal studios doesn't count :P haha but it was fun nevertheless. wonder how a 2hour long one will be like. Heard from my other friends that it was fun. haha so excited. Plus we get to explore another new place in Daejeon. yay!  oki, now to Gmarket and get some stuff :)
