Day 69
HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY TO MY BEST FRIEND TAN EE LIN :D
Enjoy your day girl!!!:) Meet when i come back oki! haha
Hello peeps! I am back from GoChang!! Eh how was the trip? hmm.. we didn't really follow the schedule which was both good and bad. Bad because we didn't get to see the green barley festival which i was looking forward to. but good because after the bbq, we did not play any games, just sing karaoke (the songs were really old btw eg. sk8tor boy, hey jude, dancing queen etc.) it was good that we did not play as it was super cold outside!!! especially at night!! oh man i was like shivering during dinner which only consisted of rice and chips for the first half an hour. but i got better later when the meat finally arrived :) as we sat with Muslims, we had a variety of food as well cause they cannot take pork, so we had chicken and vegetables as well as corn sausages as well :) so blessed. i also tried this wild berry alcohol. -.- " it tasted like cough syrup, anything that tastes like cough syrup imo is bad. i really dislike cough syrup!! i also tried a bit of soju with grape juice which was a sweeter version and a little better than they cough syrup. haha i just needed something to warm myself up, even though i have no idea what is my alcoholic threshold yet. but well, i think it should be oki. Thank God that i am not allergic that's all:)
the highlight of the trip was actually playing at tidal marsh. think running man mud just that its on the surface and a little wet. So we had to use a mini pitch fork to dig for shellfish/clams. it was fun just that IT WAS SUPER DUPER COLD! imagine us wearing what we where for camp. Dri-fit ultima tee with shorts, whereas all the other Koreans who were there we dressed in like Windbreakers, trackpants and some even had on a hoodie. Thank goodness i did not suffer from hyperthermia. seriously i thought that i was going to freeze to death with the wind blowing at me from every single corner no matter where i turn and squat. We also filmed a parody of Psy's Gentlemen at tidal marsh... yeah think around 30 or us trying to shake our butts decently while our boots are getting stuck in the mud and the wind blowing right at our face. Unglam much!!. Then Maureen, Anissa, Gabriela and me ran back all the way because we did not want to wait for the truck to bring us back (it takes 10mins to come so by the time we walk back we would either reach first or at the same time. luckily we reached first :))
The guesthouse was cool and the girls got the 2nd level and it had a better heating element. the guys got the ground floor, even though they had 2 cycling machines, 2 massage bands and 1 massage armchair, they had NO heating. i would never trade the heating for anything. Even though the temperature went up to about 50 degrees at night and my friend had to turn it down to 35 and then 25, i am not bulging. i think i slept pretty well. Another thing to praise God again :)
We also went to Dolmen park. (oki i just googled. Dolmen is a portal tomb-- so its 3 or more upright stones supporting a large flat horizontal capstone (table)). eh nothing much to see, just that the view from i think partially uphill was good nevertheless :) managed to take some pictures, but imo i feel that the view from the guesthouse ---- pavilion (where we had outdoor karaoke and bbq) was better :)
now i am back to dorm, just finished showering, unpacking, washing clothes, doing simple chores like wiping my table and keeping it clean etc. need to do immuno summary and assignment -.-" and of course try to Gmarket to get something for my mum, like seriously!! her birthday is this month and i have to ship back my stuff some so yeah.
take care people!!
worry less, smile more, accept criticism, take responsibility, be quiet and listen, love life, embrace change.
