Day 66
Back in our dorm after attending KAIST one (overseas networking exchange or something..) Brazil presentation. I must say this. Patience does pay off. we did not leave early no matter how tried we were and we got our dinner :) yay!! really tired now from lack of sleep and walking around.
Had many firsts today -
1) 삼계탕. though it was not fantastic and peeling/cutting/trying to dissect an entire chicken into pieces was really tiring, but still it feels good to have managed to try it. it was so~so. just that the rice happened to have my favourite bean (no idea what its called but its shell is red and it resembles a miniature pearl when taken out :) . the chicken flesh was too dry for my taste buds but the soup was all right, no too oily whatsoever and it was quite filling.
2) Tried Brazilian food of rice, beef with potatoes and bean :) plus this dessert which was made of coca powder, condensed milk and something else, probably a secret recipe which they used to make the entire thing stick together and into a cute little ball that is sprinkled with sugar. i guess my view is a little bias as i am not a fan of sweet food. But even Maureen said that it was too sweet so what can i say haha :) we ate with Rana and a Korean girl who lived in Indonesia for about 15 years o.o Rana didn't eat.. :/ but i think the food was awesome!!. The presentation was not bad too haha they covered Brazil's history, culture, science and technology, music and food. It was really well done overall so i applaud them plus they made the food themselves so it was really a great feat as its really hard to find the ingredients in Korea. Especially when their cultures are so different haha. Our Brazilian friend Vanessa danced for us and they had some demonstrations about Brazilian martial arts. so it was overall really successful. they even took the time to make the food Halal for our Muslim friends!! Although i missed the Pakistan one and another country's but i am really glad that i came for this one :)
Won't be back during the weekends to blog and i was wondering if i should bring my diary along but it would really add weight to my bag :/ but i would be skipping another day just for it. As it is a camping trip i really want to pack light haha and of course i have the fear of losing my diary. :S we'll see. maybe i'll just jot down my thoughts about going FOR the trip in my diary before i go :) hehe.
All right its time to do some recceing for the Daejeon trip since my friends are coming over to visit. We went to find out how to get to their hotel today (explains all the walking) and then wash up and go to bed early. i don't want to fall sick. need to keep my immune up to take care of maureen if anything (touch wood frantically) happens to her. She isn't feeling too well so yeah.
oh i forgot to mentioned that i'll be heading to Go Chang for the weekend and well.. there would be mud sports and stuff held in the tidal marsh.. plus we would be going to see the green barley festival as well haha yeah.i'll be back soon :)
