hey hey!! back from the 25th reunion.. but first, i have a bad news... the earrings which i bought for man wei.. got smashed!!! boohooo!!!!! :....( the design was really nice, and they were from taiwan, pplus man wei love it!! ahh!! stupid postman.. haha oki nevermind. i'll get her another one:)

oki. the reunion was at causeway point seoul garden. haha had a great time!! sat with yeling and weiqi. then beside me at the other table was sathia. other people who went were joan, eileen,man wei, vathsala, izwan, bryant, daron, sellek, theidi, lim ying, syafiq. the food was oki.... but i love the fries, keropok, samosa, the chicken meat was oki, fish was nice, ice cream tasted bitter.. weirdly, but its oki!! hmm. noodles, the fried rice was good too. haha sounds that i ate quite alot. well, seoul garden is basically a pay and eat all you want feast. haha

i experience quite a lot of new stuff today.. like i talked with yeling and found out that, hey actually she's quite humorous too-hey, how many people do you know can say something humourous while keeping a straight face at the same time? haha ya. then kept poking izwan.. aww.. will miss him, he's a great friend!! ^^

sellek mixed ice cream with the fried rice, he even used a chopstick to eat it!!! haha then i touched the bowl.. its felt hot and cold at the same time. haha that's kind of cool.. cause two opposites coexist at the same time. see, if proves that opposites compromise and compliment each other. haha. then my 'next door neighbour' sathia played-literally -with the ice shaver he filled his entire bowl.. and the counter.. with ice shaving, decorated it with black suger(yum) oh man.. the entire thing is like brown cold soup. haha sathia said that it was pepsi, plus coke, plus mountain dew. haha . chatted. took photo graphs. after which, we headed down to the arcade and took neoprints. imagine 12 of us (man wei and izwan left early)squeezing in one booth haha, got pressed down.. took to the postion of squatting. sigh.. haha but yeling's poor thing though.. she didn't get to take boohoo. :(

then most of them bought the arcade game cards. haha various games.. car racing,basketball, hammering,and some game that the presidents were at.. ermm.. using a small handheld white plastic(oki i'm just dragging time to find the right word), basically, you're trying to push this giant striker into your opponents slot, with the help of this white plastic handheld thingy. yup. haha

while on the train.. oki, sathia said that we smelt of barbecue food. how could we not when the oil was like splattering all over the place? haha oki.. my hair smelt terrible too.:P then egghead(daron) was sanitising his hands.. with his little bottle of antiseptic. ya. haha then we were like. why don't you sanitise the entire pole? oki, he did just that. haha

it was fun.. today.. i'll really miss those times..

today was kind of an interesting day ^^

went out for lunch with mr Clement-had to pass him the handphone strap i got him from taipei. yup!! with that, all ten presents are either in the hands of their rightful ower, or on the back of the postman's motorcycle :)

went to tiong bahru plaza's top floor-grillers' a western restaurant yet popular with the kids-i mean teenagers - patronised by adults as well, cause the food there is considered really cheap/affordable. uhhuh. had 'the best fish and chips in town' hehe at student price- $4.90 haha thanks to the waitress i think her name was Ira... ya. short form i guess :) oki, then mostly the topic was on gundam... can't really say that he's a fanatic but.. still under the category of fan and gundam whiz.

after our lunch(hehe thanks for paying the GST and service charge part) we went to the void deck and talked. hmm.. well i found out actually he's quite a philosophical guy and knows what he wants to life. haha i'm kind like of the total opposite :Pi got to admit though, he has a point and boy, conversing in english with him was hard. i'm used to speaking singlish-hey! i'm a typical singaporean oki. haha

the sinking feeling is back again. i don't know why. but its back more often. whenever i cannot find what i want, my head starts to spin, my breathing gets distorted and its hard to even think of ways to ease myself from the 'ordeal'. urgh!! its frustrating. i must learn to control it. i read from a book-bump off lover- that everyone has a monster in the heart. when you cannot control your emotions properly, they'll control you, and they govern your thoughts, actions and words. i guess, maybe the autor is right.but we need to learn to control the monster inside. i hope that i can get over this sinking feeling asap!!

oh, met up with amanda, joan, eileen and bryant yesterday(the arena gang)love you guys!! haha we talked for like.. ermm. hours at cedele at wheelock place.uhhuh. it was cool ^^ pictures.. will be put up maybe later. haha oki.. that's about all!! yeah!

yup, its the last day of my 5 days trip to Taiwan, taipei.
not too long, not too short, just nice, fantastic estimation ^^
yesterday's trip was mainly just wandering around the taipei metro ban nan line(blue)
didn't manage to find my book though... said that the WHOLE of taipei doesn't have it YET... :(
got my CD though.. but its like more expensive, or the same price as the one in Singapore, just that the cover is different hehe. its nicer i think. uhhuh. well, yesterday wasn't a very fruitful trip i guess, cause all we did was to go to departmental stores. We tried Wufenpu though, but most of the stores there were not open till 3pm. There was this 'dirty' shop selling like porn videos or something- i infered this as i'm not allowed to go in(18 and above) but there were like big posters of girls wearing really little and in suggustive poses. EW!!!!YUCKS!!!just typing about that gives me the creeps.
then we went back to ximending. let me tell you, ximending is the BEST night market i've ever been to, as compared to Shilin night market. i bought stuff for you guys there.. i'm not sure if they can be found in Singapore, but hope that you will like them ^^

the day before tmr

hey, its me again. of course haha i'm the blogger.
well,just had breakfast.. same toast, porride, nuts, eggs, ham, only the hotdog is new.
sigh.. i have bad news. of all the 4 things i came here in search for, i cannot find any of them, or none of them are up t my expectations, that cause me to think that i should get it here rather than Siungapore. As in, none of their quality is as good as Singapore's... sigh. i really give Singapore a thumbs up on this one.

Yesterday, we went to the 'pasir ris' of taipei and the 'shenton way' of taipei. To dan shui and taipei 101. well... dan shui has actually two sides. on side is the beach area, the other is something like the streets of the night market- long and NEVER-ENDING. i really wonder how many hawkers there are.Haha if i bring my food and hygiene job there... i will be able to earn tons of comission. but my throat will be hoarse from all the questioning and my legs and hands will be sore from the walking and handing out of leaflets.

Taipei 101 is basically like orchard road.. LV, gucci etc Chanel.. well, they're all found there. uhhuh. Before going to Taipei 101, (due to steadfast and determined mindset to GET what i want), i dragged my parents to Eslite mall.. to Eslite bookstore specifically.Eslite bookstore is the kinokuniya of taipei. it has 3 floors, and they classifiy their books according to catergories, just like Singapore. The problem is their online book finder- its either in english or in taiwan-jap words.. not sure what they're called. hence it may be a chore just to use the com.

At Taipei 101, there's also page one.. hmm.. wanted to buy the 4 books of twilight but.. haha didn't cause i calculated the price.. its the same as singapore. uhhuh. that's all i got to go.. mum wants to go to the taipei zoo!!!! haha let's see..

Welcome to Taiwan!

hey guys, sorry i took so long to update. Was having a hard time locating a computer in the hotel. Finally saw this one yesterday so came here right after my breakfast. How's my trip so far? well, oki i guess. the weather is a little chilly and the nights are longer than the days. My hotel is located right in the heart of Ximen ding. its sorts of like the bugis street in Singapore. yup. Went to Shilin night market yesterday. Sigh.. it was filled with people and its like you need to squeeze through tons of people to get to the shop that you want to go. They sel all sorts of things there. But currently, its winter here is Taipai, so most wares are winter scarf, coat,cute ittle winter hats. I didn't buy anything thought. The stuff found there can either be found in Singapore, or the weather there isn't that cold, till you need like a really thick coat. But they are quite cheap, nevertheless. Walking with the crowd made me feel like one of them. The atmosphere is right, the number of people maybe one too many, but i guess its part of their culture. There are about more than 5 night markets here in Taipei.

Yesterday was the one day tour. We visited the National Palace Museum, where they are having a jade exhibition. Did you know that if you place a jade on your chest, or hang it there for quite sometime(i mean on a daily basis) the jade will change colour? Yup, it will. It will shimmer or grow into a dark black colour.This is due to the changes in our body. If we're happy and our body is feeling healthy, the jade will look really nice. However if it grows into a dark murky colour that is really ugly, its a sign that there's something wrong with our body, we should go and see a doctor. Jades are actually used to let us 'hear' our bodies, when they need the care and concern that they should get.

We also went to this fortune telling shop where we realised that the number 13 is actually not unluncky number, ON the contary, its a really good number. Just by counting the strokes on your chinese name(fan ti zi) you'll know if you'll be successful in life or not. hehe. i've taken down notes on this one.

Today, i hope to go to Taipei 101, where it is located near the largest Eslite bookstore in this region. aww.. i really hope i can find what i came here for.. oki,will try to blog tmr. toodles!!

day 1-departure

hey!! i'm here at terminal three haha and i must say that well, its not really crowded. the beauty of terminal 3 is that you'll be able to look at the aeroplanes as they depart yup:) well, gate 21 was about 16mins away from the check-in counter, after much efforts(of trying to lug both my parents-i wonder why even a pay phone can catch their attention) we finally made it. now i'm at the waiting area. hmm.. well i've already planned what i'm going to do when i get onto the plane-
1 block out everyone around me
2 watch twilight
3 listen to music
4 after 4 hours, i'll be at taiwan, taipei.
hehe grat iteniary right? well, hope that i have a safe journey. no terrorist or plane hijacker i hope.. hmm.. was watching channel 5's advert for 'flight panic' just yesterday night.; how ironic is that. haha oki that's all, hopefully my next post will be in taiwan. :P

2 tests before taiwan

haha, other than waking up early to charge cameras for tmr's trip, i need to check out my jc choices and i'm proud to say that jjc is the first. haha then followed by maybe cjc or sajc then ngee ann. well at first i was prejudice against jjc, hmm.. for reasons that i'm not so sure too. haha anyways, hope that i will have a bright future ahead. oh!! went out with yu hui yesterday and she got her ears pierced! haha. congrats? then we watched mama mia at her house-rent. uhhuh. hmm.. i remember when i got my ear pierce.......
well, i got tricked by my mum. you see, i was intrigued by the dazzling golden earrings when we were passing it on sunny morning, mind you, i was then young, nursery or k1, i cannot remember, thus this explains why i didn't know where those sparkling things go to. my mum must have seen my interested--partially due to her unsuccessful attempts of dragging me away from the counter. hmm.. well maybe she thought that it was thime i get a earhole. well. she asked me if i liked the earring, i nodded-duh. then she told me to sit on a chair. after about 10 mins... well, actually i don't know how long cause staring at those gold was all i could think about, two ladies with 'big guns' came out of the room. how big? something like a drill.... haha to me, when i was young. uhhuh. the rest was history. hehe i must thank my mum. if not, i'll have to get it done like when i'm older, and ouch! i think, the pain would be more. haha

that's it. get it? well, no, i didn't exactly fail, but i failed on my own expectations of 6a1s. oki... maybe it was kind of unrealistic for me to want 6a1s for every subject. why not? you might ask.. well first, my physics, it would be like a miracle to even pass it, and my maths, it would that a zillion years to get to the cyborg's standard. so.. ya it was quite unrealistic.but hey, you know what the good news is? i improved.. well not every subject, but i didn't drop or anything. hehe that's the plus point for me.. but.. the sad thing is that, i didn't get the single digit score that i wanted. sigh.. maybe i have a cursed mouth haha i was joking with my dad about getting 31 points, and guessed what? i got 13. can you believe it? haha well, one a1 for chinese, 3 a2-eng, maths, humans, 5 b3-bio, chem, phy, a maths, lit. whoa. a2 for maths and b3 for physics!!! praise the LORD!!! it was kind of relieved phew...

congrats to our top scholar-JOAN!!! wooo 8 distinctions!! and the rest of the people who did well, rahmah, wei qi, jia xin, zhen yuan, che chen, ives, bryant, xiu jin, yu xuan, chia heng, ummu, daron, jasmine,yong kang, eileen, zi kun, yee hui and anyone whom i missed out, but still congrats!!!

An Le Si

i was reading the church bulletin and pastor Issac's opening address was on the controversial issue of euthanasia- an le si, in chinese.
According to him, there are two sides of people.
One, is the secular humanistic worldview, this side is the side of evolution, supporter of the big bang theory.As a product of evolution, death is just a natural process for men on this earth. There is just life, and death, no god. The last line strucks me the most: man is the cause of the world's problem, man also has the solution to these worldly problems.
The other is the biblical worldview, where it teaches that there is a God that created men. death is the result of our rebellion against him, and after we die, our soul will rise up to heaven and face judgement, to be accountable for all our sinful deeds.
i personally feel that there's an additional 'species' of people. other than the two that pastor mentioned, there's also one i think, its called the free-thinker type. He/she doesn't care about how the world came, how we are going to die, id there life after death, the free-thinker type is only concern about now. how to solve the problems i face today, right now. Tommorrow is just the future, yesterday was the past, i'll forget it. One may think that this type of people would be the most carefree, however, i beg to differ. in fact, i pity them. When they day of judgement come, they won't know what hit them. haha i think you've guessed it yes, i belong to the second category of people:) haha i'm proud to say that I'M A CHRISTIAN.

oki, linking these 3 catergories of people to euthanasia.
the first catergory may be on the side of human rights. we, human, have the right over our own body, to die is our choice, we have the right to administer euthanasia ourselves.

for the second catergory-- that's me. pastor issac says to think biblically, though the Bible didn't mention anything about euthanasia-probably, technology wasn't that advance. haha, however we need and must remember that that every human body have an eternal soul, and that we have only ONE LIVING, ALMIGHTY GOD. Hence,the Bible teaches us that our creator-God created us, hence only HE have the power to give us life, or take away our life. We do not have a choice, our future, present, everything, is in his hands. Our lives are in his hands. Job 1:21 the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD!

haha, for the last one.. well..all i have to say is that maybe they are the ones against euthanasia, well maybe because they don't like the idea of dying at all, haha maybe.

well, the Bible also emphasis on the sanctity of life-this can be seen from one of the ten commandments-Thou shalt not kill exodus 20:13. haha so euthanasia, well, let's just say that this topic is govern by beliefs, if you fall into any of the three catergories(only can choose one-they cannot co-exist), well then you will have a different set of beliefs. yup

tommorrow's the day, haha i told my dad to be prepared for the worse-31points(c6 x 5 + 1) haha well, just hope for the best and look towards the future with GOD keading and in our hearts:)

haha after reading constance's post, i must say, i have to agree, all the polytechnics are really vying for absoultely any and every student. i have a collection of magazines and freebies from all the 5 polys in singapore. wow!!! haha the latest one was received at 6.08pm today, a card plus magent and soft wire, advertising engineering course( a gimmick by all the 5 polys- they finally learn that great strength can be achieve if they all work together-- hence they gang up and prey on students like us--- poor kids.. sob sob haha) well, just a joke, the polys are doing this just to let us know more about the courses that they offer :)

btw, i found out something interesting about my phone, well i don't know if its a good or bad thing haha well, maybe i just say the contents involved:

argh!!! its driving my insane!!! why can't i find it!! that OUTDATED COLOR MAGAZINE NUMBER 168 why!! why!! why!! i want to fly to taiwan just to get ALL the magazines with pi li mit articles!!!! ah!! i want i want i want. i will confess it- i covet for them! COVET, see what pathetic state i'm in? i'm on an insanity-streak and i haven't even get my results yet. !!! this is driving me nuts. hmm...well, hope that the newspaper annouces when the results will come out asap, or i can say bye bye to my taiwan trip :(.... btw, i dreamt last night that i scored 20 points for my o levels!!!! what the!!! oh man, i really hope that it won't come true. please.... please..
sigh.. i guess i changed quite a lot during the holidays--- well, my speech mainly haha.. man wei thinks so too. well, i guess i have not been practising my english well, my mum says i have to speak perfect, posh english-- like mr brown from mind your language.
oki i just saw this webbie and they're importing stuff from taiwan!!! ah!!!! i want to get my hands on them!!! oki.. i need to restrain myself haha self-control. self-control.... phew.. i've calmed down. hmm.. well, i guess that there's far more valuables in life than getting what you want, like that card with gui gui and yan ya lun's picture grr.. haha. well, live your life to the fullest, i'm still on the road to self-discovery and self control, learning more about myself as the day goes by, and i really want to improve myself, in terms of :
1 the way i speak (more english, more english)
2 my attitude towards people( i need to display different attitudes to different people- e.g professionalism, the right way to converse with others, the right time to laugh or make jokes)
3 most importantly, my walk with GOD, without him, i suspect that i'll go boongles by know haha.

the 1st post of 2009

The new year started off with Mr Clement calling me on my cell and wishing me a HAPPY NEW YEAR!! oki, seriously, he sounded like he had one drop too many haha maybe he's on drugs--happy drugs that make you go high, in a good way!! hehe hmm.. then it's the message sending mania. i must say, the phone line was jammed, haha luckily, i managed to press the 'send' button at exactly 11.59pm, so most of my friends received my message at 12.00am sharp. (sorry to those poor unfortunate souls whose messagw as late :( ) haha then i was sleeping time.. zzzz time check:12.48am 2009!! woohoo!!! haha woke up at 10plus.. close to eleven-i'm a self-confessed pig(my mum would agree) haha. then our indian neighbours, the bala family came over to wish us a warm HAPPY NEW YEAR!! we chatted for about half an hour- woo!! didn't know that i can make small talks with adults too:) that's good haha. hmm.. well.. this new year's day was spent on books(finished my newest agatha christie mystery titled: three act-tradegy) and sleeping.. just really tired today haha.
had pizza for dinner!!! hmm... its kind of like a tradition for my family- to eat pizza on special occasions haha, well, growing quite sick of it already, hmm.. my taste have changed i guess(hmm.. is it a sign of maturity..i wonder..) haha
btw, been infatuated with aaron/arron yan ya lun from the band fei lun hai.. hmm.. its the effect of pi li mit i guess.. he looks so good. Gui GUi too!!! she's such a dear hehe.. i'm still fine with wang zi though:) haha well... that's just the pass and parcel(passer?) of life... haha typical teenage idols. but oooo.. i really my get my hands on that card(aaron and gui gui)!!! pi li mit go! haha hope that this year would be rewarding!!
