Korea 4

Day 4

Finally! Thank God! Praise His Name!! I have wireless on my laptop in my dorm! This is a cause to celebrate!! haha i don't feel so lonely anymore!! :') Thank God its going to be all right!! The last few days were horrible. Even though about two days ago i got wifi on my phone. but it isn't the same as having full wireless on your laptop.
i almost got a shock of my life when i realise that the LAN setting was is near Maureen's table instead of mine and the LAN cable is not exactly THAT long :(. but thanks* to her bright idea, i managed to download the KAIST wireless software :) so happy. praise the LORD!. i am actually licking my spoon filled with bitter chinese herbal medicine to celebrate. haha :) really. means i can oovoo with my friends and most importantly MY PARENTS!

Really miss them a lot a lot these few days especially. no idea why though :( maybe my time of the month is coming. or maybe its just plain homesickness.... or both? haha anyways, i think i would still tear up. i did when i read the email my dad sent just now :') love my parents a lot. but at least with the net, it feels that everything is going to be all right from now on.

School is starting on monday. tmr, we would be exploring Daejeon and to pick up some supplies.

We went to Jeon Ju today, its an old Hanok village. Did some calligraphy and handicrafts as well as trying to do our own Bibimbap haha before we were left to do our own sight seeing. it was cool (pun not intended) just that the sight seeing was interesting BUT the weather was really really cold 3 degrees but i felt like it was 1 degree or below brrr....

went to a book cafe hehe so cool! love it! quaint little area where they serve coffee, tea or fruit juices. the only two side dishes they served were brownies and toast. too bad the toast were sold out. if not i would have bought them to munch on. you know how much of a random foodie i am -- bread foodie to be exact i love bread and biscuits haha. i spent 1,000 won on their biscuit made up of melted sugar which was... hmm.. well sweet and it stuck to my teeth. got to brush it properly later!!

i forgot to add the diversity here is great haha. i mean the Europeans are really fascinated by absolutely everything. there was this guy who bought i think a new umbrella and the he could just open the umbrella by pressing this button... well i have a couple of these umbrellas at home and he just found it so amazing. o.O

Jeon Ju exploration was basically done in different groups and in each group, they tried to  have different nationalities. My group had an American (Ted short for Theodore) from California. Victoria, a Mexican girl who plays soccer really well, Tarik this French guy thats always smoking something... and is always late. Qandreel from Pakistan who doesn't really eat due to restrictions but is a pleasure to talk to, Hafizal from Bangladash, Simone from Italy who likes to show off i guess haha. There is actually 1 more guy... but i really have no idea who is he ah Kaue.... (searched it using Hafizal's fb) from Brazil and me haha. apparently there is one girl from Iran who came late so she joined Maureen's group instead. Her name is Maryam or something :/

anyways, some photos

 The Bibimbap ingredients, before
The Bibmbap pretty version before mixing, after cooking most of the ingredients. it has 5 different colours and many nutrients in them. Black, White, Orange, Green and Yellow :) The middle part is supposed to be meat, but due to some of the exchange students being vegetarian, the lady made it from jelly, to mimic the meat colour and texture i supposed. It was not as spicy as i thought. the sauce is more vinegar like -- the type kimchi is soaked in so yeah it was not bad :) plus she also made this kimchi egg pancake thing which was awesome :)
 Jeon Ju
 The coffee store :)

I am so going to send these to my parents :) off to email them! take care. i will blog or write tmr. Please let the weather be fine. BUT THANK GOD IT DIDN'T RAIN TODAY!! :)

=do something right=
