Reflections after Cell Hike

Its back to work again. Weekends really do pass so fast!

What I would like to share would be the divine power of God that we experienced on Saturday. We planned a hiking activity for cell. Of course some of them told me to change cause the weather did not look favourable, but I had faith that the weather will be fine and it will not rain. Our initially plan was to start the hike from church and walk all the walk to our dinner place (which takes about an hour and a half).

Unfortunately it started drizzling when we started out and by the time we reached Mei Lin area, the rain was coming down pretty hard. Some context, when we set out, the sky was pretty grey. We prayed for the weather, and for safety/ protection being setting off. Throughout the walk from church to Mei Lin, there were light droplets of rain, but I kept on praying. There was peace in my heart, knowing that we will somehow make it through by God's grace.

We were 'forced' to detour to Mei Lin food centre for an early dinner. On our way there, we bumped into May and Emma! <3 But I'm glad that God disrupted our plans. After dinner, the rain became lighter, we were able to continue our hike with our umbrellas/poncho. The weather was cooling, with a light breeze. We stopped a few times to take photos. As we were in a group of 6, it was just nice for each of us to pair up with a member and have conversations during the hike. In the end, we completed the hike! Looking back, I'm so grateful that we ate first, before hiking. If we were to hike to the dinner place, we would have starved. Though we did not catch the sun set, but we saw a proposal being set up at Henderson Waves. Though there were areas where it was dark, but no one got hurt. We even made it to Mount Faber Safra at 8.30pm on the dot (in the end Caleb's parents were still having dinner).

This is just one of the many many times where I always tell God, your timing is impeccable. It also showed me that as humans, we can plan all we want, but most importantly, God needs to be in the plan. Or rather, he oversees the plan (much higher than the human planner). Even when the plan shifts, it will be according to His purpose, for His good and His glory and everything just falls into place.

= do something right =
